Parents Leadership Council

Join Us

The Parents Leadership Council is the executive body of the Ohio Wesleyan Parents Association (link to page). Directed by University Advancement in collaboration with the Offices of Career Services and Admission, the council provides:

• A forum for discussion between the parent community and University leadership and faculty
• Opportunities to develop and implement parent and family volunteer activities that benefit OWU
• Leadership in support of the University mission and the Parents Fund (link to page)
• Invitation to attend the annual parent donor reception and two annual executive committee meetings
• Fun and friendships with other OWU parents

Council Requirements

• Executive Committee
• Parent of a current student, parent of an OWU graduate, or grandparent
• A commitment of at least two years of service on the Executive Committee
• An annual leadership gift of $1,842 or more to the Parents Fund
• Attendance at two annual meetings – typically held once during fall and spring semesters – is encouraged
• Leadership Donors
• Parent of a current student, parent of an OWU graduate, or grandparent
• An annual leadership gift of $1,842 or more to the Parents Fund
